This ecotour will take you to see the highest pyramidal basement in the coast of Quintana Roo, the most important Biosphere Reserve of Quintana Roo and one of the world longest underground river systems.
All our guided tours and activities have a certified guide and a PADI snorkeling instructor. With personalized service for small groups.
First you will explore Muyil, the Mayan settlement more than 2,300 years old and the archaeological site with the highest pyramidal basement of Quintana Roo's coast, built more than 1,400 years ago. To make this trip richer, your certified guide will share information about the Mayan archeology, as well as other topics that make this important coastal city unique and interesting.
The ecotour continues with a hike through the elevated wooden walkway, crossing the humid jungle on the way to the lagoons of Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve, a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. On the way, you can climb the observation tower and enjoy the panoramic view of 360 degrees.
When you reach the lagoons dock, the boat ride will start, where your guide will take you to enjoy an incredibly relaxing experience: float freely between a variety of mangroves and air plants, letting yourself to be carried by the flow of the channel of Chunyaxché's lagoon.
And to complete this ecotour, you will enter in one of the longest underground rivers systems, and explore along with your certified guide and snorkeling instructor, one of the cenotes with the most beautiful aquatic garden in the area, where you can get to know about aquatic plants, fish and birds.
